It’s always a special time of year when the SXSW Festival hits Austin, Texas every March. During the first part of the festival, this eastern Texas hotspot is flooded by geeks and tech nerds from around the world that come out to network, promote and most importantly have a good time.

This year was particularly exciting because individual companies pulled out all the stops and created their own personal venues within the festival itself. Such was the amazing Klout Krib that was nestled in the northern part of Austin.

Overlooking the downtown skyline of Austin the Klout Krib was one of the places not to be missed during SXSW Interactive. Hosted by San Francisco media-based company Klout, this lavish house was the perfect backdrop for many new media enthuisisists. On Saturday March 12th they hosted their Kloutup which included awesome music from Austin based band Audiorunner, free shoes from Heyday Footwear, awesome eats with recipes by Bitchin’ Kitchen‘s Nadia G. and more. The entire event was a nice break from the centrally located SXSW madness downtown.

Static Photography photographer Kris Krüg had a chance to hang out at the Klout Krib during the Kloutup and document all of the geeks having a good ole time.
