@OldSpice’s Klout Skyrockets

For those of you looking to dramatically increase your Klout Score, we have an answer. Launch an incredibly genius, massively popular video response campaign. @Oldspice had a score of 55 in May, and that went up to 89 on July 13th and finally 96 today.

“I’m the man your man could smell like.”

In case you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past two days (or maybe actually being productive), here’s one of the Old Spice guy’s now famous Twitter video responses (watch below or on YouTube).

I’m the man that doesn’t understand this, Klout team: I thought that “influence takes time” but still you measured the influence of this account within a 2 (two) day interval?

I know that this is a traffic AAA subject at the moment and the chance you can get @oldspice to actually make a video reply to you could give Klout more awareness but is this really something ethical to do?

Just my thoughts.

We do indeed believe that influence takes time, however in special situations like that of @OldSpice, two days can make a huge difference in awareness and influence.
